"Growth begins at the end of your comfort zone"
The goal is always growth. Like the smooth rock formations that are shaped by the constant flow of water there will always be some adversity. When we keep pushing eventually it gets easier and leaves a polished product. Leaders need to have confidence in themselves because they must instill trust in those who follow.
Connection
I rarely say more than I need to say, however Speech 101 got me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to become a conversationalist. I remember the assignments that made me face my classmates one on one and also those that forced me to give a speech in front of the class. Once I got started I could not stop, it was like a river flow of words poured out and suddenly I had the confidence to speak to the world.
Vision
The real progress doesn't happen until you're at your limit. Get out of your safe zone, experience new things. Becoming stagnant makes you dull and unmarketable.
